KNOWN LOCALLY AS SS SPARROW OF LONDON, TORPEDOED DURING THE WAR. (HM CUSTOMS & EXCISE, WHITBY, 25.8.36) INS AS WK PA 8FMS [14.6MTRS] IN 543048N, 003701W. BR STD. 28.1.75 POSITION CONFIRMED BY HSA. WK LIES BOWS NORTH AND IS LARGELY DISPERSED EXCEPT FOR TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE AND A SINGLE BOILER ABOUT 10FT DIAMETER. HIGHEST PARTS ARE ENGINE AND STERN. (DIVER'S REPORT, VIA K MCLEAN, 28.1.75).
