The shipwreck OSCAR is a documented underwater obstruction located off the coast of Whitby at coordinates 54 30.21 N, 0 36.102 W. Historical records indicate the site was initially reported in the Baymans Hole area; however, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 1989 and 2016 failed to locate any structural remains, wreckage, or debris at this position. Currently, the site is classified as non-active, as multiple seabed scans have confirmed the area is clear of the previously reported obstruction.
