WAS ON PASSAGE PLYMOUTH TO MALTA. 39 LIVES LOST. (LL WW1, WW1SL, DODS & SHIPWRECK INDEX OF THE BRITISH ISLES). CARGO INCLUDED 370 DEPTH CHARGES TYPE D, 1000 PRIMERS B.E., 2100 DETONATORS TORPEDO AND 2762 MINES, SPHERICAL. (A C CROTHALL). TORPEDOED BY GERMAN SUBMARINE UC-17. (DER KRIEG ZUR SEE).
