Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck known as Jenny is located at coordinates 50 37.436 N, 0 29.991 W off the southern coast of England in the English Channel. Originally reported after being on fire and anchored to the seabed by a trawl in September 1979, initial accounts noted pieces of burnt timber and assorted pipework in the area. However, subsequent hydrographic surveys and diving examinations conducted in 1984 found no structural wreckage, noting only natural rock pinnacles at the site. Further official assessments in 2002 and 2018 using modern multibeam sonar datasets failed to locate any remains, leading the UK Hydrographic Office to officially classify the wreck as disproved and amended as dead, with no further archaeological remains or structural description found on the seabed.
