BUILT 1942. WAS RETURNING TO BASE HAVING ENGAGED AN ENEMY CONVOY BOUND FOR TUNISIA ON PREVIOUS EVENING, WHEN SHE WAS ATTACKED BY TORPEDO FROM ITALIAN AIRCRAFT. SHE DID NOT SINK IMMEDIATELY BUT HAD TO BE ABANDONED LATER. 12 RATINGS KILLED. (DODS & ALLIED WARSHIP CASUALTIES MED, FEB 1952).
