The shipwreck GOLDEN SHEAF is located at coordinates 56 10.895 N, 2 33.091 W off the coast of Scotland near the Firth of Forth. Historical records indicate the vessel moved into deeper water approximately 100 feet offshore following initial grounding. While past reports noted the tops of the masts visible one and a half hours before low water, a subsequent hydrographic survey conducted in 1994 by Oceonics UK Ltd could not locate the wreck, suggesting the structure may be well broken or covered by sediment. This underwater obstruction remains charted in the North Sea region for maritime navigation purposes.
