BUILT IN 1866 BY J THOMPSON, SUNDERLAND. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY W C ALLEN. WHEN LYING AT ANCHOR OFF TRANMERE WAS SUNK BY A NEW VESSEL LAUNCHED FROM MESSRS LAIRD'S BUILDING YARD ALTERED HER POSN NEXT DAY.
