Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck known as FU-SIM-BA 2 is located near the coast of Selsey Bill, West Sussex, at coordinates 50 42.835 N, 0 43.29 W. Originally reported as a vessel that sank two miles south of Selsey Bill in 1981 while carrying 200 gallons of diesel in seven meters of water, subsequent hydrographic surveys have updated its status. Multiple search operations conducted in 2003 and 2019 using modern multibeam sonar datasets failed to locate any wreckage at this position. As a result, the wreck has been officially disproved and categorized as non-existent at these coordinates, with the entry officially amended to dead. This site is no longer considered a navigational obstruction or an underwater wreck.
