Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck site located at coordinates 8 28.891 N, 13 11.568 W near the coastline of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Historical records for this location previously identified the wreck of the HMS Beagle, described as lying with its bow facing east on the foreshore. However, a hydrographic survey dated February 2019 confirmed that there is currently nothing visible or detected at these coordinates. The wreck entry has been officially amended to dead, indicating no obstruction remains at this position.
