The shipwreck Evertsen is an underwater obstruction located in the English Channel, approximately 17 miles southeast of Portland Bill and near Dorset, United Kingdom. Its precise GPS coordinates are 50 22.867 N, 2 13.767 W. Originally discovered by sonar in 1961, the wreck was officially confirmed as the Evertsen in 1984. Subsequent hydrographic surveys by the UK Hydrographic Office and the Royal Navy, including HMS Bulldog and CEFAS, have thoroughly examined the site. The structural descriptions of the wreckage indicate that the site is well broken up, featuring a major section lying at an orientation of 030/210 degrees. The dimensions of the main feature measure approximately 54.89 meters in length, 11.37 meters in width, and a height of 4.55 meters, resting on a seabed composed of fine sand with a least multibeam depth of 42.44 meters, while charted depth is maintained at 38 meters.
