Simplified Wreck Survey

The Evening Star is an intact underwater shipwreck located in the North Sea off the northeast coast of Scotland at coordinates 57 29.89 N, 0 59.988 W. Originally observed sinking in January 2007, the wreck was comprehensively examined in June 2009 using DGPS. It lies in a general water depth of 84.5 meters with a least multibeam depth over the wreck of 78.39 meters. The structural description of the shipwreck includes a length of 21 meters, a width of 8 meters, and a height of 6.2 meters, with a 1.1-meter deep scour surrounding the site. The vessel rests on an orientation of 100/280 degrees and exhibits a poor magnetic anomaly.
