Simplified Wreck Survey

The Etoile Polaire is an underwater wreck located at coordinates 51 32.028 N, 3 57.871 W off the coast of Wales near Swansea in the Bristol Channel. This underwater obstruction is the remains of a 26-foot Bermudian sloop with a plywood construction that sank in a general depth of 17.1 meters. Originally reported by Swansea MRCC on August 2, 1987, the wreck site was later surveyed in September 2017 and January 2018 by Gardline using multibeam sonar, where it was not located and subsequently classified as dead.
