The shipwreck known as the BREYDEL is a historically recorded underwater obstruction located in the North Sea at coordinates 52 29.028 N, 2 6.888 E. Originally reported after a sinking event in 1971, the site was surveyed multiple times throughout the following decades. Although initially charted as a wreck with a depth of 15 meters, subsequent high-resolution multibeam surveys conducted by Gardline in 1994 and 2017 failed to locate any structural remains, debris, or seabed anomalies at these coordinates. Consequently, the wreck status for the BREYDEL has been officially amended to dead and is considered non-existent or fully disproved by modern hydrographic data. As of the most recent 2017 dataset, no wreckage or obstruction exists at this North Sea location.
