LOST CARRYING OUT POST-WAR AMMUNITION DUMPING OPERATIONS WHILST EN-ROUTE TO BEAUFORTS DYKE DUE TO BAD WEATHER. ALL 12 OF CREW LOST. (COURT OF ENQUIRY). 8.1.46 BUILT BY MCLELLAN, GLASGOW AND ERECTED AT PAISLEY IN 1942. TWIN SCREW WITH DIESEL ENGINES OF 920BHP FOR 10 KNOTS. LEFT SILLOTH ON 8.1.46 LADEN WITH AMMUNITION AND STORES FOR THE MILITARY PORT OF CAIRNRYAN. LOST IN 60 KNOT GALE WITH CREW OF 13. (A CORKILL).
