Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck YVETTE is an underwater obstruction located near Punta Carnero in Algeciras, Spain, along the coast of the Strait of Gibraltar. Historical hydrographic records from the UK Hydrographic Office detail the wreck at coordinates 36 4.65 N, 5 25.317 W. Initially reported in October 1973 as a structural obstruction, subsequent surveys in February 1974 identified the site as a small wreck with two masts and the after part of the superstructure showing, lying approximately 200 meters from the Punta Carnero lighthouse. Further official notices in November 1976 indicated that the wreck was reported salvaged as scrap in situ, leading to its removal from active navigation charts.
