BUILT IN 1976 BY ENGENHARIA E MAQUINAS SA, RIO DE JANEIRO. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY HANSON SHIPPING PANAMA SA. PASSAGE HONG KONG FOR SURABAYA. SUFFERED RAPID SPREAD OF FIRE, WAS ABANDONED BY CREW AND ACTION TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE WAS TAKEN BY TUGS PERWIRA AND PERTIWI. LATER TAKEN IN TOW TOWARDS SINGAPORE BUT SANK FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION. (MSD).
