According to UK Hydrographic Office records from May 2003, the vessel was reported taking on water and sinking around position 05 24.0N, 109 24.0E, with a final reported sinking position near 05 31.0N, 109 22.0E. Although search efforts did not immediately locate the physical structure, the vessel was confirmed sunk and listed as a non-dangerous underwater wreck with an approximate position. This underwater obstruction remains an important record for marine safety, hydrographic survey data, and navigation in the South China Sea.
