Simplified Wreck Survey

The UK Hydrographic Office shipwreck survey details for the WELCOME record the vessel at coordinates 53 2.69 N, 1 44.888 E, located in the North Sea off the coast of Norfolk, England, near the historical Haisborough Light Vessel site. Originally reported as sinking approximately 6 to 8 miles east-northeast of the Haisborough Light Vessel, historical charting placed the position near 53°02'40"N, 01°45'00"E for filing purposes, with the wreck appearing on a Danish fishing chart in 1965. During subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted on January 7, 1992, by Land & Marine, the underwater obstruction was not found, resulting in the wreck record being amended to dead with no charting action required.
