BUILT IN 1874 BY R DIXON, MIDDLESBROUGH. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY E HARRIS, MIDDLESBROUGH. ONE BOILER, COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE OF 235 NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE MIDDLESBROUGH FOR GRANGEMOUTH. DROVE ASHORE AT NIGHT IN HEAVY RAIN AND SW FORCE 10 WIND. ABANDONED IN SMALL BOAT LEAVING 3 ON BOARD. TUG SAILED FROM BURNTISLAND BUT VESSEL HAD SUNK. THREE LIVES LOST. (SIBI).
