The shipwreck GOOD DESIGN is located in the Firth of Forth near Inchkeith Island, Scotland, at coordinates 56 2.929 N, 3 6.42 W. Originally reported as a sinking following a maritime incident, the vessel was subsequently identified and salvaged. Official historical records confirm that the GOOD DESIGN was recovered, successfully towed to Granton, and later dismantled for breaking. Due to this successful salvage operation, the wreck site is classified as cleared, and the vessel is no longer present as an underwater obstruction at these coordinates.

BUILT IN 1936 BY WALTER REEKIE OF ST MONANS. WAS A WELL KNOWN PITTENWEEM FV UNTIL REQUISTIONED FOR PATROL WORK. MINED OFF INCHKEITH WITH LOSS OF 2 OF 6 CREW. VEESEL BROKE IN TWO, BOTH HALVES LATER RECOVERED & TOWED TO GRANTON. (SIBI & SHIPWRECKS OF THE FORTH & TAY, B BAIRD)
