Underwater wreck VB 2001 is located at coordinates 53 45.76 N, 7 25.52 E in the German Bight of the North Sea. First reported as a stranded wreck in 1944, the site historically featured a mast that dried at 0.3 meters. Following extensive salvage operations and blasting clearance work conducted between 1969 and 1971, the status of the wreck was updated to foul. Navigational buoys previously marking the obstruction have since been removed. The current site remains a recognized underwater obstacle for maritime traffic in the region near the German coastline.
