Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck VESTFOSS is located at coordinates 58 53.976 N, 2 23.101 W in the waters near Copinsay and the Orkney Islands in Scotland. Originally reported sunk in March 1940 following a master statement, historical records note it positioned near Copinsay in deep water. A 1978 survey inserted the wreck as an underwater obstruction at a depth of 66 meters. However, a subsequent multibeam sonar survey in March 2007 by Netsurvey Ltd failed to locate the wreck, leading to its deletion from standard hydrographic charts.
