EX-GUERNSEY QUEEN. BUILT IN 1939 IN BURNTISLAND FOR THE BRITISH CHANNEL ISLANDS SHIPPING COMPANY LTD. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY GIBSONS & CO LTD. OIL ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. SUNK BY ACOUSTIC MINE IN OCTOBER 1944 WHILE ENTERING BOULOGNE HARBOUR. STERN SECTION WAS SALVAGED IN 1947 AND TOWED TO GRANGEMOUTH WHERE A NEW 120 FT BOW SECTION WAS FITTED. SHE REMERGED AS TRAQUAIR. TOOK SEVERE LIST WHILE ON PASSAGE LEITH FOR TERNUZEN AFTER CARGO SHIFTED. FOUNDERED. (SIBI).
