HH100/351/21 12.8.05 DIVED IN LISTED POSN WHICH IS THE ENGINE BLOCK. SMALL, WELL DISPERSED WK. LENGTH 30-40MTRS, WIDTH AT LEAST 8MTRS. BLOCK IS AT LEAST 4.5MTRS FROM THE SEABED. 15.6.17 BUILT IN 1904 BY ROPNER & SON, STOCKTON-ON-TEES. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SIR ROBERT ROPNER. TWO BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 258NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE PLYMOUTH FOR THE TEES. SURVIVED A TORPEDO ATTACK BY A SUBMARINE ON 15.6.17 AND WAS BEACHED TO PREVENT SINKING. AFTER TEMP REPAIRS FOUNDERED WHILE ON PASSAGE TO THE TEES FOR DOCKING AND REPAIR. (SIBI).
