Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater Wreck Survey Details Position 55 30.302 N 5 51.405 W off the coast of Macrihanish Scotland. This historic shipwreck lies upright and intact on the seabed with a least multibeam depth of 57 meters in general depths of 61 meters. The intact steel wreck measures 35.1 meters in length and 8.8 meters in width standing 4 meters high with a 1.4 meter deep scour at the northeast end. Diving investigations confirm the vessel has four holds in ballast with some plates missing from the port side and the single propeller previously salvaged. Originally misidentified as U 482 and later examined by HMS Bulldog and Netsurvey this dive site is oriented on a 036/216 degree heading with bows pointing southwest.
