Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck site located off the coast of Dunbar, Scotland, at coordinates 56 08.379 N, 002 48.822 W. This historic wreck is identified as an intact, upright circa 1840 paddle steamer resting on a mud seabed. The vessel measures 36 meters in length, 12 meters in breadth, and stands 3 meters high. It is oriented on an east-west axis (090/270 degrees) with the bow pointing towards 270 degrees. The site features iron chains at the stern and is noted for being heavily covered in fishing nets. Hydrographic surveys indicate a least echo sounder depth of 48 meters within a general surrounding depth of 53 meters, with no observed seabed scour. This obstruction has been subject to multiple historical reports and investigations since 1940, with current data confirmed via GPS and diver survey.
