25.1.86 PASSAGE TUNIS FOR SFAX. HAD COLLISION WITH TURKISH MV 'SALIH KAPTAN' OFF RAS MOSTEFA. TAKEN IN TOW BY TURKISH VESSEL & BOTH SHIPS ANCHORED ABOUT 2M OFF KELIBIA PORT. EFFORTS TO REPAIR LEAKS UNSUCCESSFUL & ON 25.1.86 VESSEL WAS TOWED TO DEEP WATER & SUNK BY TUNISIAN PATROL BOAT USING GUNFIRE. ALL CREW SAFE. (LL).
