Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreckage of the vessel SAGITTARIUS is located at coordinates 55 49.9 N, 5 48.104 W in the Sound of Jura, Scotland. The wreck was reported sunk at this position on 17 September 2002. Subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 2012 attempted to locate the vessel using multibeam sonar, but it was not detected. Due to the significant depth of the water at this site and the small size of the vessel, the wreck of the SAGITTARIUS remains unlocated and is considered too deep to be charted or identified by standard survey methods.
