19.12.88 BUILT IN 1983 BY MARATHON LE TOURNEAU CO, VICKSBURG, MS. DEVELOPED A LIST WHEN ONE OF ITS BALLAST TANKS CRACKED AND BEGAN TO TAKE IN WATER DURING SEVERE WEATHER AND WHEN BEING TOWED BY TUG SMIT LONDON FROM HALIFAX N.S FOR GREAT YARMOUTH. LATER CAPSIZED AND SANK. ALL CREW WERE SAFELY RESCUED. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ROWAN COMPANIES INC. (MSD, LL,17 & 19.12.88).
