The wreck of the probable steamship Risoy lies off the coast of Cornwall, England in the English Channel at coordinates 50 39.915 N, 5 1.79 W. Examined using DGPS and multibeam sonar, the World War I steel steamship carrying scrap metal sits upright on the seabed in a general depth of 53 meters, with a least depth ranging from 49.65 to 49.84 meters. The intact yet well-broken-up wreck measures approximately 70 to 72 meters in length, with a width varying between 12.3 and 32 meters and a height of up to 4.2 meters, oriented on a north-south heading with bows pointing south.
