Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Retriever is an underwater obstruction located at coordinates 22 31.376 N, 88 14.479 E. Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office document the wreck starting from December 1938, when a wreck was first reported at 223126N, 881439E. Further surveys in August 1949 charted the obstruction at a depth of 4 fathoms and 5 feet. Additional position updates and depth amendments were recorded in June 1983, placing the wreck at an 8.8-meter depth in coordinates 223121N, 881436E, and subsequently in December 2006 at 2231.336N, 8814.609E based on Indian navigational charts.
