The shipwreck Reliance is located in the North Sea off the coast of the Shetland Islands at coordinates 60 27.283 N, 1 4.485 W. This underwater wreck was originally reported as having sunk at 60 27.19 N, 01 04.22 W with an estimated depth of 55 meters. Official hydrographic surveys and multibeam data sets conducted in 2017 were unable to locate the vessel at the charted position, resulting in its status being amended to dead in hydrographic records. The Reliance remains a notable entry in historical maritime obstruction databases for the region.
