Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction details for the site located at 54 37.642 N, 0 38.285 W off the coast of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Historical survey data indicates this location was originally reported as a foul area but subsequent multi-beam sonar surveys conducted in 2016 and site inspections in 1989 found no evidence of wreckage, identifying the seabed instead as an area of natural rock ledges. Despite initial reports, current hydrographic records classify this position as non-hazardous, with no physical underwater obstruction or shipwreck debris currently located at these coordinates.
