Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater Obstruction and Survey Details Located at Coordinates 51 39.544 N, 5 36.636 W Initial reports from September 1978 classified a potential wreck contact located at 513933N, 053634W during a side-scan sonar search, though it was not examined at the time. A subsequent survey in March 1980 failed to find the wreck, noting that boulders in the vicinity may have been mistakenly identified as a wreck contact, leading to the record being marked as dead. More recent hydrographic survey data obtained on June 3, 2010, at updated coordinates 51 39.544 N, 5 36.636 W confirmed a single contact inside a scour hole. The multibeam least depth is recorded at 65.66 meters within a general surrounding depth of 66.4 meters. The associated seabed scour is 0.9 meters deep, with the obstruction measuring 2.9 meters in length, 2.8 meters in width, and a height of 1.69 meters. Due to the nature of the findings, the site is currently charted as foul ground, with uncertainty as to whether the anomaly is a wreckage or a natural boulder.
