The shipwreck of the vessel Nueva Villeta is located at coordinates 34 37.333 S, 58 18.817 W in the waters of the Río de la Plata estuary near Buenos Aires. Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office note that the wreck was originally marked by a green conical light buoy showing a flashing green light every 5 seconds before the vessel was successfully refloated and the navigational hazard was officially deleted from charts.
