The shipwreck site of the Melanie Schulte is located approximately 90 miles west of the Hebrides in the North Atlantic Ocean. The underwater obstruction is situated at coordinates 58 43.883 N, 8 58.3 W. Survey data obtained via Towed Ocean Bottom Instrument (TOBI) indicates a large wreckage site measuring 120 meters in length, 21 meters in width, and an estimated height of 8 meters above the seabed. The wreck, recorded under reference HH272/710/02, was identified during a 1998 survey by the Southampton Oceanography Centre and is classified as a potential match for the Melanie Schulte.
