Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck MELANIE is historically recorded at coordinates 54 27.011 N, 0 27.103 W near the coast of Robin Hoods Bay. While historical reports placed the vessel in 26 fathoms of water near South Cheek, multiple modern marine surveys including a 2016 multibeam sonar investigation failed to locate the wreckage. The site is currently classified as NFA (No Further Action) as subsequent search efforts have consistently found nothing at these coordinates.
