Simplified Wreck Survey

The historic wooden shipwreck May Lily sank on January 10, 1954, located 3 miles from Filey Brigg on the Yorkshire coast within the North Sea at coordinates 54 12.263 N, 0 10.104 W. Built of wood and measuring 45 feet in length with her mainsail set, the vessel featured the registration number H525 painted in white on the bows. Initially recorded by Coastguard Flamborough, historical survey records note the wreck status was amended over time before being classified as dead after multibeam sonar searches in May 2016 by EGS Pioneer failed to locate the obstruction.
