LIES UPRIGHT, PROPSHAFT VISIBLE, HULL PLATING COLLAPSED OUTWARD FROM ENGINE REARWARD. KEEL VISIBLE, NOTHING SHOWING IN FRONT OF BOILERS AS REST OF WRECK IS BURIED, WITH DEBRIS BREAKING THROUGH SEABED IN PLACES. NO CARGO PRESENT, EVIDENCE OF COAL. COLLIDED AND SANK VERY QUICKLY. OTHER VESSEL LATER IDENTIFIED AS SS ITCHACA, GREEK FLAGGED, WHICH DID NOT STOP. LATER ARRESTED IN WAPPING DOCK, BRISTOL.
