Circumstances of loss

BUILT IN 1977. ATTEMPTED TO ENTER PORT FROM THE ANCHORAGE WITHOUT PILOT OR TUGS DURING BAD WEATHER. STRUCK BREAKWATER AT WEST ENTRANCE WITH PORT SIDE AND BROKE IN TWO. ONE HALF SANK, THE OTHER BECAME STRUCK ON THE BREAFWATER. TWO MEN KILLED AND SIX MISSING.
