Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Jaguar is an underwater obstruction located at coordinates 51 3.267 N, 2 22.353 E. Historical hydrographic surveys from the UK Hydrographic Office document the site starting in February 1948 when it was originally charted as a wreck marked by a green conical light buoy. By 1952, the survey was amended to show two masts marked by green conical light buoys flashing green. Subsequent chart updates in 1977 and 1978 noted the wreck position maintained with green conical buoys positioned fifty meters northeast and northwest of the remains. Following a data reassessment in July 2002, the wreck status was amended to dead and deleted from official navigation charts.
