Shipwreck details for the vessel Tramontane located at coordinates 51 3.7 N, 2 21.2 E off the coast of Dunkirk in the English Channel and North Sea region. The vessel originally grounded in the entrance to Dunkirk New Harbour on September 24, 1973, becoming embedded in the sandy seabed with its bows facing north. Following successful refloating operations on October 6, 1973, the vessel was towed to Antwerp for repairs before returning to Dunkirk-Gravelines New Harbour to resume dredging operations.
