Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck HMS Rondo is located at coordinates 60 13.298 N, 1 8.9 W near Unicorn Rock in the waters off the Shetland Islands. Historical survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office indicate that HMS Rondo sank on March 2, 1915. Although an initial sinking position was reported nearby, subsequent search operations conducted by HMS Herald during survey HI 11A/76 failed to locate significant wreckage. Records from the Lerwick Harbour Trust suggest that the vessel's boiler was salvaged shortly after the sinking event. Due to these findings, it is considered highly unlikely that any substantial structural wreckage remains at this location, and the site is categorized as having no clear underwater obstruction for maritime navigation.
