Simplified Wreck Survey
The wreck of HMS Othonna is historically documented at coordinates 56 14.995 N, 2 30.092 W located in the North Sea near the coast of Granton, Scotland. Originally reported as a sunken vessel, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted by the UK Hydrographic Office and Royal Navy vessels, including HMS Scott and HMS Shipham, failed to locate any structural remains or underwater obstructions at this site. Following multiple sonar search attempts between 1955 and 1994, the position was officially designated as non-dangerous and subsequently deleted from maritime navigation records due to the lack of evidence of a wreck. The site is currently classified as clear, and there is no underwater structure, welded steel, or debris detected in the vicinity of these coordinates.
