VESSEL, BUILT 1937 BY THORNEYCROFT & CO. TURBINE ENGINES OF 44,000 SHP FOR 36.5KTRS. BADLY DAMAGED BY TORPEDO FROM ITALIAN DESTROYER 'LUCA TARIGO' & FINALLY SUNK BY HMS JANUS. TWO OFFICERS, 39 RATINGS KILLED, 23 RATINGS WOUNDED. (DODS).
