BUILT IN 1934 BY VICKERS ARMSTRONGS. 3-DRUM BOILERS, TURBINE ENGINES OF 36000SHP FOR 35.5 KNOTS. FUN 4.7 INCH AND 7 SMALLER GUNS. 8 TORPEDO TUBES. TORPEDOED BY U-211 AND BROKE IN HALF IMMEDIATELY WHILST ESCORTING CONVOY 'ON 153'. 172 CREW LOST. 26 SURVIVORS PICKED UP BY HMS SUNFLOWER. (DODS).
