VESSEL, BUILT 1964 BY WM. DOXFORD & SONS (SHIPBUILDERS) LTD, SUNDERLAND, WAS OWNED AT THE TIME OF LOSS BY GOOD LION INC. RAN AGROUND AT LAGOSTEIRA BEACH, TALON HEAD, DURING BAD WEATHER WHILE ON PASSAGE IRAN FOR BREMEN. ALL CREW SAVED BUT ABOUT 80TONS OF BUNKER OIL SPILLED FROM CRACKED FUEL TANKS & POLLUTED LOCAL BEACHES. ABANDONED AS A CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS. (MSD).
