Wreck G 85 is a historically documented underwater site located in the North Sea off the coast of Suffolk, England, at coordinates 51 9.035 N, 1 36.896 E. Originally reported as a vessel torpedoed and sunk by HMS Broke in 1969, extensive maritime surveys conducted by HMS Beagle and subsequent magnetometer inspections have failed to locate any structural remains at this position. Following multiple failed search attempts between 1970 and 2007, where sonar sweeps and magnetometer data returned no contacts, the status of the G 85 wreck has been amended to dead, indicating that no physical obstruction or wreckage remains at these coordinates.
