Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the merchant vessel Fircrest is located at coordinates 58 51.971 N, 6 34.067 W off the coast of the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. While the site is historically recorded, an area search conducted by HMS Herald using Simrad sonar on May 14, 1976, failed to locate the wreckage, resulting in a status of no chartable anomaly. The Fircrest remains a point of interest for maritime researchers and divers investigating shipwrecks in these waters. Future surveys may determine if the site contains remains of welded steel or if the structure is well broken and dispersed across the seabed.
