Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck Esperanza is located off the coast of Bornholm Island in the Baltic Sea at coordinates 55 14.8 N, 14 43.73 E. This underwater obstruction, formerly a vessel declared a constructive total loss, ran aground on a rocky seabed just outside the entrance to the Port of Vang. Historical reports indicate the wreck was pushed further ashore onto a pebble beach approximately 40 meters north of the Vang pier and 25 meters off-shore. Following initial flooding of the hold and engine room and subsequent demolition efforts in situ, the site was officially classified as cleared. The wreckage area is situated in shallow coastal waters near Vang, Bornholm, though current navigation remains subject to local maritime conditions.
